Newsletter of the Society for Technical Communication, San Francisco Chapter February/March 2010 |
Dear Readers,
This month we have two new items for the newsletter. The first is a one-time offering, a letter from a candidate for Secretary of the Society. It's encouraging to hear from a Society-level officer (he's currently a Director) with an interesting background. (Disclaimer: No endorsement intended.)
The second new item is the debut of a new column by past presidents of our San Francisco chapter. They will write on a topic of their choice, such as informing us of significant new developments, suggesting upcoming events that impact our writing lives, expressing an opinion, or simply writing about writing. It promises to be an interesting series.
Also at the chapter level, your leadership council is discussing ways to invigorate the chapter for the new decade. You, too, can contribute in the future by participating in those opportunities. Perhaps one of you will write about how these changes improve your experience with both our chapter and technical writing. I look forward to your submissions.
I'll see you soon at a meeting.
