Letter From the Editor

Dear Readers,

There's a story in my family about a grandmother, who was born and raised on a farm, saying every year on the Fourth of July that "Oh, summer's over." She wasn't talking about the weather, she was sorry that the brief respite between planting and harvest was gone. Here in San Francisco, we have a different point of view. Our summer weather really hasn't started on the Fourth of July, it occurs in September and October. And we have a great introduction to fall for you at our STC-SF chapter.

At the August and September meetings, we will discuss a couple of areas that can challenge many of us who are typical Myers-Briggs introverts: interviews and negotiations. You can come and practice those skills both formally (Mysti has promised some role-playing) and informally with networking before the program starts.

So come to one--or both--meetings. You can grab an opportunity for an extra link when ego-surfing if you volunteer to review the meeting. You can meet some interesting people. Jack Molisani always provides delicious incentive to participate; Mysti is an excellent presenter. And your walk from BART, Muni, or the parking garage will be in San Francisco's most delightful weather!

I'll see you soon at a meeting.
