Northern California Technical Communication Competition

CALL FOR JUDGES

If you are interested in judging in 2007-08 technical communication
competition serving Northern California, please send email to Richard Mateosian: NCTCC@stc-berkeley.org

Please include the information described in the "About You" section below.

Judging in the competition entails the following commitments:

  • Devoting approximately 40 hours of time between September 28 and November 18 to judging duties.

  • Attending a meeting in Berkeley the weekend of September 28. We will try to accommodate everyone by scheduling one meeting on Saturday and another on Sunday. You can attend whichever meeting is more convenient.

  • Interacting with members of your judging team by email and at least once face to face. The face to face team meeting should be near the end of the process to enable you to reach consensus on your award recommendations.

  • Optionally attending a meeting in Berkeley on November 17. At least one member from each team should attend to return all of the team's entries and to help arrive at a consensus about which entries we will submit to the international competitions.

  • Submitting written judging comments on your entries. We will provide guidance at the September 28 and 29 meetings about how to write comments and how to submit them in the expected format.
